Our advertising campaign

Keeping farmers in the know. It’s what we call active insurance.
FMG’s current brand campaign launched on 5 June 2007 and continues today in rural newspapers, on the Jamie Mackay Farming Show, and on billboards on rural highways around New Zealand.
The campaign is designed to more proactively share FMG's experience and knowledge for the benefit of the farming industry. It focuses on the straight-forward things farmers can do to prevent loss, and thus avoid all the negative aspects of loss – the hassle, interruption to business, frustration and emotional impact – not just the need to make an insurance claim.
The ads focus on the common types of claim dealt with here at FMG - situations such as tractor fires, farm vehicle theft, tyre damage, electrical fires, wind storm damage to buildings, to name just a few.
The campaign’s tagline – we reckon preventing a problem is just as smart as insuring against it – is all about farmers avoiding hassle and saving money through good management of the risks they can do something about, and insuring for the risks they are less able to prevent.
Over the life of the campaign you’ll see a wide range of scenarios represented, along with the (often very simple) things farmers can do to help prevent them from happening.
You can keep track of the new ads we're running by checking back on this section of our website from time to time. To see the ads, click on See the ads in the right-hand menu.
And of course we welcome your feedback on the campaign – just email us on marketing@fmg.co.nz with details of which ad and where you saw/heard it, then tell us what you think!
