How does the FMG Graduate Rural Manager Programme work?
Our graduate programme runs for between 12-18 months and is broken into two phases:
Phase 1: Induction, Training and Business Unit Familiarisation - 4-6 months (during this time you will be based in Palmerston North)
Phase 2: Trainee Rural Manager - 6-12 months (based in any of our 26 branches)
What happens at the end of the Graduate Programme?
At the end of the graduate programme, provided you have met all the requirements of the programme, you will be appointed to a Rural Manager position.
Your final location is dependent on where a role is available so flexibility in location is a requirement of commencing the programme. FMG will assist with the financial costs associated with moving to your final location.

What type of qualification do I need to be considered?
We are looking for Graduates with a land-based, primary industry, business or other relevant degree. We are also looking for people motivated and passionate about the rural industry, those seeking a career not just a job and those who have the drive to support rural New Zealand.
Who will I report to?
During your initial 6 months you will report to the Head of Sales Operations. Once you transition into the Trainee Rural Manager role, you will report to a Regional Sales Manager.
