Trina and her service centre team know what FMG community spirit looks like and they took it to another level.
Trina came to FMG for two weeks work and is still here 16 years later. She has been part of developing a high performing service centre, (it’s much more than a call centre) which has won multiple regional and industry awards.
“The learning opportunities I’ve had at FMG have been amazing; the organisation is so supportive of personal growth.”
Not only is Trina leading and part of an award-winning service centre, she’s a Christmas angel too, setting up the ‘Spirit of FMG’.
In 2015, Trina rallied the teams in the Palmerston North office to gather as much food as they could for Methodist Social Services—they delivered two SUVs and one trailer filled to the brim with donations. It was the biggest donation MSS said they had ever received.
Last year, in conjunction with community programme Te Aroha Noa, led by Trina, the service centre team adopted two local families that had it tough, providing a Christmas Day meal, extra food for the cupboards, new bedding, supermarket vouchers, homeware, kitchen appliances and presents for everyone. “Watching these people receive our gifts was one of the best things I’ve ever done.”
Trina loves her vocation. “I know it sounds weird, but if I won Lotto, I’d still choose to come to work—maybe just reduce my hours a little!”
