Comprehensive cover for the vehicles you use for your business, like cars, vans or trucks.
Third Party Only, Third Party Fire and Theft, Fire and Theft, or Fire Only cover is also available under this policy, click here for more.
These are some of the covers and benefits automatically included in the FMG Commercial Motor Vehicles policy.
Covers your vehicle for accidental loss if it’s damaged or destroyed by a sudden, unintended and unforeseen event, or is stolen. Your vehicle’s accessories or spare parts are also insured while they’re temporarily removed for repair, cleaning or storage.
Up to $10,000,000 of cover for your legal liability and reasonable defence costs if you accidentally damage someone else’s property, or injure someone while using your vehicle. This cover also applies while you’re using someone else’s vehicle, or if you let someone else use your vehicle.
If you buy an additional vehicle or replace your existing one, it’s covered for present day value up to $100,000, as long as you let us know the details within 30 days of the purchase, complete any proposal we require, and pay any extra premium if we require it.
If you choose to have your vehicles covered under this policy as a fleet, you will only need to update the relevant details at renewal, rather than as the fleet changes during the period of insurance.
We’ll replace or repair broken windscreens, windows, headlamps or sun roofs and you won’t have to pay an excess.
If you have a total loss claim for your vehicle within a year of purchasing, or first registering it as new, we’ll replace it with a new one of the same make and model if it’s currently available. Cover applies to vehicles with a gross laden weight of 3.5 tonnes or less.
If your vehicle’s keys are damaged, lost, or stolen, we’ll pay the reasonable cost to replace them and you won’t need to pay an excess. This also covers any electronic devices you use to access your vehicle.
We’ll pay the cost to repair your vehicle to the same condition as before the loss, the present day value, or the amount shown on your certificate, whichever is less.
Present day value is the value just before the loss and takes into account the age and condition of the vehicle. Think of it is as similar to the second hand value.
