Growing fruit
Cover for loss of fruit from hail, fire and flood.
Harvested fruit
Cover loss of fruit up to 30 days after it’s been harvested, including while in transit of up to 300km.
Constructive total loss
Cover if it becomes uneconomic to harvest because of damage of 85% or more to your orchard.
Frost cover
Optional cover for damage caused by frost when a permanently installed frost system fails.
FMG’s Orchard Fruit policy covers your growing and harvested fruit, including wine grapes, pip and stone fruit.
This policy also covers additional cost associated with cleaning up after a loss, including chemical or manual thinning and/or disposal of damaged fruit. We’ll pay up to $1,000 per hectare.
For Constructive Total Loss, we’ll pay the total sum insured in the event it’s uneconomic to harvest, otherwise for other losses claimed on this policy, we will pay an agreed value based on the assessed loss.

Frost prevention system and power failure
Cover for the frost damage to your growing fruit when your permanently installed frost protection equipment has a mechanical or electrical failure. Date limits may apply.

Kiwifruit Top Up cover
The FMG Kiwifruit Top Up policy insures your growing fruit for any loss covered by the Zespri Pool Hail insurance scheme. We will pay an agreed value per tray based on the Zespri assessed net tray loss.
