Our region is pretty special — there's a real sense of community, with people genuinely looking out for each other. Small rural communities are the backbone of Otago and Southland – everyone loves the region and the lifestyle down here, and there's always plenty to do outdoors.
When you vote for Otago Southland, you are voting to support Southland Rural Support Trust and the Otago Southland team.

The winning region contestants will win provincial glory and much more including:
- $5,000 for a good local cause chosen by them
- $1,000 to the senior contestant
- $1,000 to be split among the Junior contestants
- $1,000 to be split among the AgriKidsNZ contestants.
Voters also go in the draw to win a $500 Bonfire Giftcard.
