Do it online in FMG Connect

FMG Connect is our online service where you can view and manage your insurance. You can also manage your payments, including:

- make changes to your existing direct debit payments- set up direct debit payments at renewal
- make secure, one-off payments via credit card- view your upcoming payments
- view and download the last 3 years of statements- view, edit and add your refund bank account.

Payment options

We offer four payment frequency options:

  • Annual payment (ensures the lowest overall premium)
  • Six-monthly
  • Quarterly
  • Monthly

Changing your payment frequency will affect your premium. For a quote visit FMG Connect or call us on 0800 366 466.

Direct Debit

You can set up a direct debit payment online in FMG Connect prior to your renewal.

FMG Connect allows you to manage your upcoming direct debit payments, and view a schedule of all upcoming payments. You can update your bank account details and payment date (if the payment date is within 14 days, please call the Payment Services team on 0800 366 466 option 4, then option 2).

Paper direct debit form

You can download our editable direct debit form below. Complete the form, and scan and email it to paymentservices@fmg.co.nz, or post to FMG Payment Services, Freepost Authority 120395, PO Box 1943, Palmerston North Central 4440.

Tip

Direct debits are paid  on the same calendar date each month (e.g. 28th ); it's not possible to process these on a specific day of the week. If your payment date falls on a public holiday or weekend, it will be deducted on the next business day.

One-off payments

For short-term cover you'll need to make the full payment up front. The easiest way to do this is by direct debit or credit card.

Credit card

We accept Visa and Mastercard. Annual credit card, internet or phone banking clients can:

  • pay online at any time in FMG Connect, the payment will be applied immediately, and your will receive an email confirmation of payment and receipt.
  • call us on 0800 366 466. Select option 4 then option 1 to go through to our secure credit card payment portal system. You will need to enter your policy number.  You will be given a receipt number at the end of the call. Please note that the payment will be applied to your account on the next business day.

Security tip

Never provide your credit card  details to us by email.  At FMG we’ll never ask you to provide your credit card or password details in an email, over the phone with one of our employees, or via a text message. If you receive any communications which appear to be from FMG asking you to provide your credit card details, or you’re unsure if the communications you’re receiving are from FMG, call us on 0800 366 466.

Internet or phone banking

Add us as a bill payee in internet or phone banking by using the following details. Please remember to set your payment date on or before the due date on your statement:

Registered payee:FMG Insurance Limited
Bank account:02-0727-0038720-00
Particulars/Account #:Your FMG account number
Code/Account name:Your FMG account name
Reference/Policy #:Your FMG Policy number

PLEASE NOTE: It is important to put our exact “registered payee/account name” (FMG Insurance Limited), and if your bank is participating in the Confirmation of Payee implementation, you will be able to check the account name and number matches. Learn more at getverified.co.nz

Farmlands or Ruralco account

You can choose to pay your premiums through your Farmlands or Ruralco account.

To do this, call us on 0800 366 466 and select option 4. Please have your shareholder number ready.

Life & Health payments

If you have Life & Health insurance with FMG, your invoice or direct debit will be managed by the company underwriting your policies. FMG’s personal risk policies are underwritten and administered by Fidelity Life, AIA, Resolution Life or Southern Cross. To discuss the payment options available please call us on 0800 366 466.

Updating your refund bank account

We may have recently got in touch by letter, email, or phone call to let you know that we require your refund bank account.

We want to provide a safe and secure way to provide these details so you can now view, edit, and add your refund bank account details in FMG Connect.

If you are unsure about the communications you have received, call our Client Refunds team on 0800 366 466 and select option 5, then option 1.
