Find a payment option that works for you

For all payment set up options, you will need your contact information, policy, and account numbers ready to reference. You can find your account and policy number at the top right corner of your tax invoice/statement.

Do it online in FMG Connect

You can make direct debit payments or make secure, one-off payments via credit card in FMG Connect, our online service.

Recurring payments

Making an annual payment is the most cost-effective option to pay your premiums with us. If you choose to pay monthly, quarterly or six-monthly, a higher premium is charged.

Direct Debit

You can set up a direct debit payment online in FMG Connect.

FMG Connect allows you to manage any current direct debit payments you have with us, including updating your bank account and deduction date details.

Using a direct debit form

You can download our direct debit form below and either scan the completed form and email it to us at [email protected], or send your completed form to FMG Payment Services, Freepost Authority 120395, PO Box 1943, Palmerston North Central 4440.

If you'd rather talk to someone about your direct debit options call us on 0800 366 466 option 4, then option 2 to speak with the Payment Services team.

Direct debits are deducted on the same calendar date each month; it's not possible to process these on a specific day of the week. If your payment date falls on a public holiday or weekend, it will be deducted on the next business day.

Farmlands or Ruralco account

You can choose to pay your premiums through your Farmlands or Ruralco account.

To do this, call us on 0800 366 466 and select option 4. Please have your shareholder number ready.

One-off payments

For short-term cover you'll need to make the full payment up front. The easiest way to do this is by direct debit or credit card.

Credit card

We accept Visa and Mastercard.

  • You can make a one-off credit card payment online at any time in FMG Connect.
  • You can call us on 0800 366 466, select option 4 then option 1 to go through to our secure credit card payment portal system. The system will ask you to enter your policy number.

At FMG we will never ask you to provide your credit card details in an email, over the phone with one of our employees or via a text message. If you ever receive any communications which appear to be from FMG asking you to provide your credit card details, or you’re unsure if communications you’re receiving are from FMG, please call us on 0800 366 466.

Internet or phone banking

Add us as a bill payee by internet or phone banking by using the following details. Please remember to set your payment date on or before the due date on your tax invoice/statement:

Registered payee: FMG Insurance Ltd

Bank account: 02-0727-0038720-00

Particulars/Account #: Your FMG account number

Code/Account name: Your FMG account name

Reference/Policy #: Your FMG Policy number

If you're struggling with bad cellphone reception, we recommend calling us back using a landline or moving to a different location on your property that gets better cellphone reception (heading to a higher point on your property will usually mean better reception).

Life & Health payments

If you have Life & Health insurance with FMG, your invoice or direct debit will be managed by the company underwriting your policies. FMG’s personal risk policies are underwritten and administered by Fidelity Life, AIA, AMP or Southern Cross. To discuss the payment options available please call us on 0800 366 466.
