We’ve got a range of payment options so you can choose what’s most convenient for you.
Paying your premiums annually is always the most cost-effective option, however you can choose from a range of payment options and frequency of payments:
- annually via direct debit, internet banking, credit card, or through Farmlands or Ruralco.
- six-monthly, quarterly or monthly via direct debit, or through Farmlands or Ruralco.
- for short-term cover you'll need to make full payment up front. The easiest way to do this by direct debit or credit card.
If you have Life & Health insurance with FMG, your invoice or direct debit will be managed by the company underwriting your policies. FMG’s personal risk policies are underwritten and administered by Fidelity Life, AIA, AMP or Southern Cross. To discuss the payment options available please call us on 0800 366 466.

For all payment options, you will need your contact information, policy and account numbers ready to reference.
You can find your policy number at the top right of the front of your tax invoice/statement.
Setting up recurring payments
Getting a quote
You can choose to pay your premium through an annual direct debit or spread your your payments out over the year with either six-monthly, quarterly, or monthly direct debits. Call us on 0800 366 466 option 4, then option 2 to speak with the Payment Services team to get a quote for these payment options, or you can request a quote by emailing [email protected]
Completing the form
Complete our direct debit form making sure you’ve ticked the box for your choice of payment frequency; annual, six-monthly, quarterly or monthly.
You can scan your completed form and email it to us at [email protected], or send your completed form to FMG Payment Services, Freepost Authority 120395, PO Box 1943, Palmerston North Central 4440.

Direct debits are deducted on the same calendar date each month; it’s not possible to process these on a specific day of the week. If your payment date falls on a public holiday or weekend, it will be deducted on the next business day.
To check when a direct debit payment is due, or the payment frequency, contact the FMG Team on 0800 366 466 or look it up through FMG Connect.
Farmlands or Ruralco account*
You can also select to pay your premiums via your Farmlands or Ruralco account.
You can pay annually, six-monthly, quarterly, or monthly. Call us on 0800 366 466 and select option 4, to get a quote for this payment option, or you can request this by emailing [email protected]. Please have your shareholder number ready.
*Please note the annual payment option will always be the most cost effective and other extended payment options do incur additional premium cost.
Change how you make payments

We accept Visa and Mastercard.
At FMG we will never ask you to provide your credit card details in an email, over the phone with one of our service centre staff or via a text message. For your security we are only able to take credit card details through our authorised payment systems described below. If you ever receive any communications which appear to be from FMG asking you to provide your credit card details, or you’re unsure if communications you’re receiving are from FMG, please call us on 0800 366 466.
You can now pay by credit card using our online service. Head to FMG Connect to register your account, or login.
You can call us on 0800 366 466, select option 4 then option 1 to go through to our secure credit card payment portal system. The system will ask you to enter your policy number.
If you're struggling with bad cellphone reception, we recommend calling us back using a landline or moving to a different location on your property that gets better cellphone reception (higher points on your property may get better signal from cell towers in your area).
Internet or phone banking
Add us as a bill payee by internet or phone banking by using the following details. Please remember to set your payment date on or before the due date on your tax invoice/statement:
