Cover for sudden and unforeseen loss to your plantation caused by:
Covers the cost up to $50,000 to replace or rebuild damaged plantation infrastructure and to replant trees that were destroyed. You can choose a higher amount of cover.
Cover for the cost for removing and disposing of destroyed trees following a claim, less salvage, up to $50,000. You can choose a higher amount of cover.
If your plantation is under threat from fire we’ll pay up to $50,000 for the reasonable costs you incur to protect it. You can choose a higher amount of cover.
If, following an accidental loss, part of your plantation is undamaged but it wouldn’t be best practice forestry management to retain it, we may treat the entire plantation as a total loss.
If your claim has been accepted we’ll cover up to $20,000 for the reasonable costs to prepare, present or certify it, for example if you need to hire a forestry consultant for assistance.
Cover for your trees aged ten years and over for loss caused by a windstorm. Cover is for up to 50% of the amount shown on your certificate for each block, to a maximum of $1,500,000, for all events during the insurance period.
If your entire plantation is destroyed we’ll pay the value you agreed to when taking out your policy, this is shown on your insurance certificate.
If part of your plantation is destroyed we’ll take the sum insured for that block and pay a proportion that matches the area of the destroyed trees.
Condition of Average applies to partial losses that are underinsured and any salvage revenue will also be taken off the final settlement amount.
