Rich in cultural and gold rush history, Otago is so diverse!  One minute you can be enjoying cherries in Central Otago, the next you can be exploring The Nuggets down on the Southern Coast.  From dairy farms to high country stations, wineries to off the grid B & B’s , there is something for everyone to enjoy

El Niño and Otago

With El Niño forecast for the upcoming months you will likely experience higher temperatures and stronger seasonal winds, compared to normal/average.

You may also experience increased rainfall, with strong fronts occasionally delivering heavy rainfall and a risk for flooding.

East Otago however can expect less than normal rain and lower soil moisture levels and river flows.
