Cover for contents you use for your farming operations. Includes items like fencing equipment, tools, sprays, animal feed and generators.
If you have baled hay or wool, beehives, deer velvet, seed, grain or harvested stores, or farm milk, you’ll need to specify these on your policy for cover.
Covers your contents if they are damaged or destroyed by a sudden, unintended and unforeseen event, or if they’re stolen.

Covers up to $10,000 for reasonable additional costs to continue running your farm if there’s a disruption following a loss to your farm buildings or contents. If a higher level of cover is needed talk to us about our Business Interruption policy.
We’ll pay your estate $5,000 in the unfortunate event of your death as a result of a fire at, or an intruder to, your farm building. If you suffer one of the permanent injuries listed in the policy then we’ll pay up to $5,000, depending on the type of injury.
Money earned through your farming operations is covered for up to $1,000 for loss due to fire, natural disaster, or burglary.
Your farm animals are insured for accidental death or if they need to be put down as a result of a vehicle accident while they’re being transported. This also includes accidents while the animals are being loaded or unloaded, or if they fall from the vehicle.
These items are covered for accidental loss while they’re in transit if it’s a result of a vehicle accident, damage while loading or unloading, or the goods falling off the vehicle.
We'll pay up to $5,000 for gradual damage to your farm contents.
We will review your sum insured amount at renewal and make an adjustment for inflation if it is needed.
If keys you use to access your farm contents are lost or stolen we’ll pay reasonable costs to replace them and you won’t need to pay an excess. This also covers devices like electronic access cards and remote door openers.
We’ll cover up to $3,000 if your frozen or perishable dog food, semen straws, animal vaccines or animal health products are spoiled after a change in temperature of your refrigeration or temperature controlled unit. If a higher level of cover is needed talk to us about our Refrigerated Goods policy.
Cover up to $5,000 towards the cost of refilling your fire fighting equipment after it’s been used to protect your farm contents from loss covered by this policy.
If you offer a reward to protect or recover your farm contents following a loss covered by this policy, we’ll pay up to $5,000. Note, our consent is required.
If your farm contents are under threat from fire we’ll pay up to $5,000 to cover reasonable action you’ve taken to protect your property.
We’ll cover up to $5,000 for theft of your farm contents by paying guests.
Covers you for non-collection of milk from the vats if a natural disaster, storm or flood, has caused damage nearby that’s preventing access to your farm.
Covers your milk in the vat for contamination or spoilage caused by an accident to your refrigeration machinery, or a sudden power failure. This also covers penalties you receive because your milk was contaminated, spoiled or subsequently dumped.
Cover for damage to your farm contents caused by an earthquake, volcanic eruption, tsunami, hydrothermal activity or landslip.
Covers your loss of profits up to $10,000 for interruption to your farming operations if damage to property, roads or bridges nearby is preventing access to your farm.
Repair or replacement of your farm contents to the same condition as when they were brand new.
